Mariner System Report (9/1)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 54-83 4th American League West): The Mariners beat Texas 12-6. Adrian Beltre hit for the cycle, scored five runs, and drove in three for Seattle. Justin Thomas ('06) made his major league debut with a strikeout in a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning.

TACOMA (AAA: 80-64, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Portland 6-5. Prentice Redman hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to win the game. Oswaldo Navarro ('05) drove in two runs for Tacoma.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 70-68, 28-38 4th Southern League North Division): The final game of the Diamond Jaxx season at Mississippi was cancelled by Hurricane Gustav. They start the Southern League Playoffs on Wednesday.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 58-82, 26-44 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Lake Elsinore 6-4. Kuo Hui Lo ('07) drove in a pair of runs and Steve Richard ('07) picked up the save as the Mavs won their season finale.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 32-42, 4th Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 10-4 at Eugene. Walter Suriel ('08) took the loss.
