SEATTLE (MAJ: 53-83 4th American League West): The Mariners beat Cleveland 6-4. Ryan Rowland-Smith (’03) allowed two runs (one earned) over 6-1/3 innings for the win. The one earned run allowed by Rowland-Smith was a solo homer by Shin-soo Choo (’02).
TACOMA (AAA: 79-64, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Portland 5-1. Rob Johnson (’03) and Jon Nelson (’03) each drove in a run for Tacoma as Brandon Morrow picked up the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 70-68, 28-38 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 6-1 at Mississippi in a rain-shortened game. Mike Wilson (’05) drove in the only run for West Tennessee. Today’s game has already been cancelled.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 57-82, 25-44 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Lake Elsinore 5-4. High Desert scored twice in the top of the eighth inning to rally from a 4-3 deficit.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 32-41, 3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Salem-Keizer 7-5. Everett scored six runs in the fourth inning and held on for the win in their home finale.
