SEATTLE (MAJ: 55-86 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 7-4 to the Yankees. Ryan Rowland-Smith ('03) allowed three runs over 6-/3 innings for a no decision. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, '94) drove in all four Seattle runs.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 70-68, 28-38 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 4-2 at Carolina. The Mudcats swept West Tennessee out of the first round of the playoffs. The Diamond Jaxx scored twice on an error in the top of the first inning, but Carolina scored four times in the bottom of the second inning. Greg Halman ('07) had three of West Tennessee's eight hits.
