Brewers System Report: Games of August 16, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 55-64; National League Central): The Brewers were off on Monday.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 63-59; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds beat Salt Lake 7-6. Mat Gamel went 3-for-4 with a homer and five RBI to lead Nashville past the Bees.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 60-61 overall; 27-24 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars beat West Tennessee 9-7. Huntsville scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally to the lead. Brett Lawrie (’09) went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two RBI for the Stars.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 57-63; 30-21 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees beat Dunedin 4-1. Dan Merklinger (’09) allowed a run on four hits over eight innings for the win.

HELENA (Rookie: 27-25 overall; 8-6 second half; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers beat Casper 3-2. Helena scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead. Cody Hawn’s two-run homer put the Brewers up 3-2.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 29-16; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers beat the Padres 8-1.
