SEATTLE (MAJ: 18-28 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 12-8 at Detroit. Seattle was down 11-1 after the sixth inning and their late charge could not make up the difference.
TACOMA (AAA: 23-21, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Las Vegas 7-1. Jeff Clement (’05) hit a grand slam and Sean White scattered ten hits over 7-2/3 innings in the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 28-16, 2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 4-1 to Mobile. Ryan Ketchner (’02) allowed two runs and struck out seven over six innings, but took the loss. Michael Saunders (’06) had three hits and drove in the only West Tennessee run.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 19-26, T-2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks were off on Tuesday.
