DOWN IN VENEZUELA: Ramirez made his professional debut pitching for the Aguirre in the Venezuelan Summer League in 2006. He went 5-1 with a 1.66ERA in 14 games (13 starts)
ON TO EVERETT: Ramirez made 15 starts for Seattle’s Northwest League affiliate in 2007. He was 3-7 with a 4.30 ERA for the AquaSox.
STINGY: Ramirez allowed three or fewer earned runs in 12 of those fifteen starts.
LAST START: Ramirez won his second consecutive start in a 7-2 Rattler victory over Burlington on May 15 on Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Ramirez allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings. He walked one and struck out three.
NUMBER NINE: Ramirez struck out nine batters in three consecutive starts. The streak started against West Michigan on April 28; continued with a start at Great Lakes on May 4; and reached three against Cedar Rapids.
VS. CEDAR RAPIDS: This is the second start for Ramirez against the Kernels. On May 10 in Grand Chute, he allowed three runs on four hits over 5-2/3 in a 7-1 Rattler win. Ramirez struck out nine and walked three for his first win of the season.
