McDade's blast off Silver Hawk starter Tom Layne in the bottom of the fourth came immediately after the one by Mastroianni. The ball traveled approximately 440 feet and cleared a 35-foot high wall in left centerfield.

"I was just looking for something to drive and hit hard," McDade said. "I don't think I've ever hit a ball that far."
