SEATTLE (MAJ: 20-34 4th American League West): The Mariners were off on Thursday.
TACOMA (AAA: 26-27, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 5-4 at Fresno. Oswaldo Navarro (’05) drove in a pair of runs for Tacoma. Robert Rohrbaugh (’05) allowed four runs over six innings for a no decision. Fresno scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to break a 4-4 tie.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 33-21, T-1st Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-2 at Mississippi. Brent Johnson (’05) and Michael Saunders (’06) each drove in a run, but Justin Thomas (’06) allowed six runs over 4-1/3 innings for the loss.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 25-29, T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks won 4-1 at Stockton. Greg Halman (’07) hit his fifteenth homer and Jamie McOwen (’07) hit his second homer to lead the Mavs. Keith Renaud (’07) allowed one run over 6-1/3 innings for his second consecutive win. Shawn Kelley (’08) struck out the side in the ninth for his third save in the California League.
