Highlighted Midwest League alumni:Mark Kotsay (Kane County, '96): The Florida Marlins selected Kotsay with a first round pick (ninth overall) in the 1996 draft. Once Kotsay signed, he was sent to Kane County. Kotsay played 17 games with the Cougars went 17-for-60 with two homers, eight RBI, and 16 runs scored.
