A look back

MiLB.com has their look back at the Mariner organization for 2008.

Here is the flashback with audio highlights.

Here is a look at the M's and their system:
The Mariners had a heck of a year, and not in the way they envisioned. Spring Training brought talk of a divisional title and postseason aspirations, but the regular season brought front-office and managerial firings and generally uninspired play at the Major League level.

While there wasn't much to be happy about in the Emerald City, life down on the farm isn't all that bad for the Mariners. There is some top-flight young talent coming up through the ranks, some expected, some surprising, all interesting for one reason or another. Whether it will be of benefit to the M's in 2009 remains to be seen.

Michael Pineda ('08) and Greg Halman ('07) are the MiLB.com pitcher of the year and player of the year for Seattle in 2008.

Other sections on there include Climbed the Ladder/Kept their Footing/Slipped a Rung/On the Radar.

For the curious, the Brewer organization is scheduled for their review on November 7.

Twooooooooo-eeeeeee!!!

Looking forward to the Milwaukee system's review, I (insert Sgt Shultz voice here) know nothing about potential Rattlers for next year.

I don't know that he'll ever reach Tui status, but i'm starting to like Cutter Dyktra before i've ever seen him play a game...
