Of course it happened in Nevada

The new Reno team and the Las Vegas 51s decided that the winner of the season series between the two Pacific Coast League teams would win the Silver State Diamond Challenge.

Unfortunately, the teams split the 16-game series with each winning eight.

Fortunately, this is Nevada. There was an easy way to settle the tie without another pesky baseball game getting in the way. The Las Vegas Sun picks up the story here.
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman and Reno Mayor Bob Cashell broke the stalemate in true Nevada fashion.

By drawing a card.

Oscar drew a 7. Bob drew a 6.

Thus, the 51s will get to display the Silver State Diamond Challenge trophy at Cashman Field for the next year.
Gambling. Is there anything it can't solve.
