50 Years Ago Today:

The Foxes doubleheader at Des Moines against the Demons was rained out. This was the second straight rainout against the Demons in Des Moines.

The 20-16 Foxes are still in second place and still trail first place Cedar Rapids by a 1/2 game.

The teams will try again for a doubleheader on June 13, 1960.

Edwin Correa with a 5-hit shutout at Wausau. He walked one and struck out seven. The offense was provided by a run scoring error in the first inning and an RBI single by Tom Forrester in the sixth.

The win, their sixth straight, ran the Foxes record to 42-17. They lead Madison by 9.5 games in the Northern Division of the Midwest League.
