The Bees were up 3-0 after three innings.  The Foxes scored two in the fourth and one in the sixth to tie the game.  An RBI single by Pete Ward in the seventh broke the tie and paved the way for the sixth win in a row for the Foxes.

Fox Cities is 65-40 on the season.  They lead the Three-I League by 5.5 games over second place Sioux City.

John Stein threw a complete game one-hitter.  He struck out seven and did not walk a batter as he ran his record to 3-0 since joining the Foxes.

A single in the second inning was the only hit he allowed.  Stein retired the final 20 batters he faced.

Jim Markert had a pair of RBI for the Foxes.

Appleton is 75-39 on the season.  They lead the Northern Division of the Midwest League by 13.5 games over Kenosha.
