Brewers System Report: Games of August 1, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 48-58; National League Central): The Brewers lost 5-2 at Houston. Corey Hart hit a two run homer and the Brewers had a 2-0 lead, but the Astros scored four times in the seventh and once more in the eighth.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 57-51; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds beat Round Rock 7-6. Nashville had a 5-0 lead, but the Express rallied and took a 6-5 lead with two runs in the top of the ninth. Nashville scored twice in the bottom of the ninth for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 53-53 overall; 20-16 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars beat Mississippi 2-1 in ten innings. Jeremy Jeffress (’10) pitched two scoreless innings and got the win when Huntsville scored a run in the bottom of the tenth to break a 1-1 tie.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 49-56; 22-14 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 2-1 to Jupiter in eight innings. The Hammerheads scored a run in the seventh inning to break a 1-1 tie, then rain stopped the game in the eighth.

HELENA (Rookie: 20-20 overall; 1-1 second half; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 9-5 to Billings in 12 innings. Helena tied the game with four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 22-11; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers lost 3-0 to the Angels.
