MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 53-59; National League Central): The Brewers beat the Astros 11-6. Casey McGehee homered and drove in four runs and Lorenzo Cain (’09) had three RBI for the offense. Yovani Gallardo struck out seven and won his eleventh game of the season.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 60-55; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds won 10-5 at Las Vegas. Nashville knocked out 16 hits to break a four game losing streak.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 57-56 overall; 24-19 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 13-3 at Tennessee. Huntsville scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but the Smokies scored five in the bottom of the first on the way to the win.
BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 54-59; 27-17 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees swept a doubleheader at Dunedin. Brevard County won game one 4-3 in nine innings. They broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the top of the first inning. The Manatees won game two 4-0. Trey Watten allowed a hit and struck out seven over five shutout innings for the win.
HELENA (Rookie: 23-24 overall; 4-5 second half; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 9-4 at Great Falls. Helena scored four runs in the seventh to get to within 5-4, but they could get no closer.
AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 24-13; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers were off on Sunday.
