TACOMA (AAA: 67-58, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Las Vegas 3-1. Matt Tuiasosopo (’05) and Jon Nelson (’03) each had an RBI as Travis Chick pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts and allowed just two hits.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 63-59, 22-30 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 4-3 to Carolina. Greg Halman (’07), Adam Moore (’06), and Brent Johnson (’05) each had an RBI for West Tennessee. The pitchers for both teams combined for 24 strikeouts.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 53-70, 21-32 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 9-0 at Visalia. Travis Mortimore (’08) allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits over 4-1/3 innings for the loss. Carlos Triunfel (’07) had two of the six hits for High Desert.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 25-32, 3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 4-0 at Yakima. Everett had three hits in the game.
PULASKI (Rookie: 35-21, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s won 6-3 at Greeneville.
PEORIA (Rookie: 17-26, 8-8 5th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 2-1 to the Padres.
