“He should be out of high school now and he’s playing in a high (Class A) professional baseball team with kids that are 24 and 25,” Mavericks batting coach Eddie Menchaca said.

“I think one thing that’s going to hold him back might be his defense,” Menchaca said. “A lot of it is just being so young and not playing enough. He doesn’t know how to slow the game down. But I think once he figures that out I think he’s going to be good. And if you put both of them together, strong bat with a good glove, and with the arm he’s got, he could be something good.”
