Mariner System Report (Games of 8/15)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 46-75 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 9-3 at Minnesota. The Twins scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 2-2 tie.

TACOMA (AAA: 68-58, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Las Vegas 10-3. The win was Tacoma’s twelfth straight home win and moved them to within four games of first place Salt Lake.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 63-59, 22-30 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx game with Carolina was rained out. The teams will play a doubleheader tonight.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 53-71, 21-33 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 10-2 at Visalia. Anthony Varvaro (’07) allowed eight runs on ten hits over four innings for the loss. Gavin Dickey ('08) had the only High Desert hit.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 25-33, 3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 4-3 at Yakima. Everett was down 4-1 heading into the ninth inning and scored twice in the ninth inning. But, it wasn’t enough.

PULASKI (Rookie: 35-22, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 7-5 at Greeneville.

PEORIA (Rookie: 17-26, 8-8 5th Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Friday.
