Great Lakes 6 @South Bend 0: Great Lakes pitcher Aaron Miller was tough enough. Add a steady rain and South Bend hitters didn't have much of a chance Saturday night.
@Dayton 7, West Michigan 5: Dragons manager Todd Benzinger watched the bottom of the West Michigan lineup come to bat and was happy he had much higher batting averages in the same spots. For instance, left fielder Alex Oliveras batting ninth.
Lansing 6 @Fort Wayne 4: TinCaps pitcher Stiven Osuna buzzed Lansing’s Balbino Fuenmayor with a pitch in the sixth inning Saturday at Parkview Field. Fuenmayor hit the next pitch over the wall in right-center field for a three-run home run.

For the Quad-Cities River Bandits, life wasn't so good Saturday on Jimmy Buffett Night at Modern Woodmen Park.
After Burlington put three runs on the board in the fourth inning, the Bees' David Wood and Nick Francis greeted River Bandits reliever Nick McCully with back-to-back homers to open the fifth inning, forcing Quad-Cities to stomach a 12-4 Midwest League loss.
The crowd of 5,902 didn't seem to notice.
