Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of August 25, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 61-64; T-3rd National League Central): The Brewers lost 8-6 to Cincinnati in 13 innings. Milwaukee tied the game at six with five runs in the ninth inning, but the Reds got a pair of solo homers in the top of the thirteenth.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 68-63; 2nd Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Albuquerque 4-1. Mike Jones struck out seven over 7-2/3 innings for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 61-66 overall, 23-35 second half; 3rd Southern League North Division): The Stars shutout Montgomery 5-0. Brandon Kintzler allowed two hits and struck out eight over six innings for the win.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 72-44 overall, 32-20 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees split a doubleheader with Clearwater. Brevard County won game one 2-1 as Amaury Rivas struck out six over six innings. The Phillies won game two 6-4. Caleb Gindl homered for the Manatees, but Clearwater scored four in the first inning.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 26-32; 6-14 second half; T-3rd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers beat Billings 11-8. Cutter Dykstra (’09) hit a three-run homer for Helena.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 25-28; 13-12 second half; 3rd Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Giants 8-3.
