MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 4-6; National League Central): The Brewers lost 5-3 at Washington. The Brewers led 3-2, but the Nationals scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to pick up the win.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 7-2; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost to Iowa 7-4 in 11 innings. Nashville scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game. But, the Cubs spoiled the home opener for the Sounds by scoring three times in the top of the eleventh.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 4-4; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 8-0 at home to Jacksonville. Huntsville collected five hits in the game.
BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 4-5 overall; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees beat Dunedin 4-1. Cody Scarpetta (’09): pitched six shutout innings, allowed five hits, and struck out six for the win. Erik Komatsu (’09) was 4-for-4 with an RBI for Brevard County.
