LP: Jeff Anderson (1-1)

The Foxes fall to 11-6 with the loss. They trail first place Madison by 4-1/2 games. The win pushed the Muskies to a 16-2 record.
Darrell Pruitt homered in the bottom of the fifth. It was a three-run shot and put the Foxes in front 4-3.
Starting pitcher Chris Jefts gave up a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth and the Muskies tied the game. Jefts went six innings and allowed four runs on 10 hits.
But, the bullpen and the defense let the Foxes down in the eighth.
Anderson walked two batters and struck out one before he was replaced by Dave White. White walked a batter to load the bases. He got a strikeout for the second out of the frame. But, a walk to Mike Cupples put the Muskies ahead. Mark Howie hit an infield single and an error on the play let the Muskies score two more runs.
After one game at Goodland Field, the Foxes head to Madison for one game. Then, the teams head back to Appleton for two more games. And some people complain about the current MWL schedule.
