ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Timber Rattlers beat the Kernels 11-6. Andre Lamontagne pitched four shutout innings of relief to pick up the win as the Rattlers rallied from a 6-4 deficit. Khris Davis and Sean Halton each had a pair of hits for Wisconsin. Halton, Scooter Gennett, and Chris Dennis each had a pair of RBI in the game. The Rattlers set a season high for runs scored with their 11 runs last night.

THERE WAS EVEN MORE RUNNING: The Timber Rattlers turned the tables on the Kernels on Wednesday. Wisconsin stole three bases (D’Vontrey Richardson, Davis, and Michael Marseco) and Cedar Rapids had just one last night. In the first two games of the series, Cedar Rapids had nine steals to zero for the Rattlers.

QUICK START: Wisconsin scored three times in the first inning. Halton’s two-out, two-run single drove home the final two runs of the frame.

ARNETT UPDATE: Eric Arnett, the first round pick of the Brewers in the 2009 draft, got the start last night. He pitched two scoreless and hitless innings to begin, but he allowed four runs with two outs in the third. After the Rattlers tied the game in the bottom of the third, Arnett gave up a two-run homer in the top of the fourth. In four innings against the Kernels, Arnett gave up six runs on five hits with two walks and a strikeout. Arnett allowed a pair of home runs in the game.

ALMOST PERFECT: Lamontagne entered the game in the top of the fifth inning and gave up a single to the first batter he faced. After that, he retired the next 12 batters he faced.

BACK IN FRONT FOR GOOD: The Rattlers scored three times in the bottom of the fourth to go up 7-6. Gennett and Dennis had RBI doubles and a pair of wild pitches let Dennis score the go ahead run. Wisconsin scored two more runs in the fifth and David hit his first homer of the season in the eighth to account for the final score.

SILVER STREAKS: Davis extended his hitting streak to nine games. Dennis is now on a seven game hitting streak. Davis has the longest hitting streak on the team in 2010 and is 16-for-38 (.421) in his last nine games. Dennis is 9-for-26 (.364) on his streak.
