MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 9-10; National League Central): The Brewers beat the Pirates 17-3. Greg Zaun went 4-for-4 with five RBI, Alcides Escobar homered and Casey McGehee hit a grand slam for the offense. Yovani Gallardo allowed two unearned runs over six innings for the win.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 13-6; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds won 5-3 in 10 innings at New Orleans. Nashville tied the game with a pair of runs in the eighth and won it with two runs in the tenth.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 11-7; Southern League North Division): The Stars beat Chattanooga 8-2. Zelous Wheeler was 2-for-3 with a home run and 4RBI to pace the offense. Alex Periard (’09) allowed two runs over five innings for the win.
BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 6-11 overall; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees were off on Monday.
