Brewers System Report: Games of June 5, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 22-34; National League Central): The Brewers lost 5-4 in 11 innings at St. Louis. Rickie Weeks homered and the Brewers rallied from a 4-1 deficit with three runs in the top of the sixth inning. But, the Cardinals scored a run in the bottom of the eleventh for the win.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 32-23; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds won 9-6 at Round Rock. Martin Maldonado (’09) homered and drove in two runs for Nashville.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 25-31; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 8-5 at Tennessee. Brett Lawrie (’09) had four hits and an RBI for Huntsville. But, the Smokies scored twice in the sixth and three times in the seventh to erase a 5-3 Huntsville lead.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 19-35 overall; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 4-3 to Bradenton. Brock Kjeldgaard (’09) homered and drove in two runs for Brevard County. Mike Fiers (’09) struck out seven, but allowed four runs on nine hits over 6-2/3 innings and took the loss.
