Brewers System Report: Games of July 22, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 44-53; National League Central): The Brewers won 3-2 at Pittsburgh. Yovani Gallardo tossed six shutout innings for the win. Rickie Weeks hit his 19th homer of the season and drove in two runs for the Brewers. Prince Fielder added his 24th homer of the season for Milwaukee.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 52-46; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds beat Albuquerque 4-2. Nashville scored three runs in the fifth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 46-51 overall; 13-14 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 6-5 in twelve innings at Jacksonville. Michael Bowman (’09) allowed one run on three hits over six innings for Huntsville, but was not involved in the decision. The Suns scored four times in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game 5-5.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 42-54; 15-12 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 5-4 at Fort Myers. Erik Komatsu (’09) had a pair of RBI and Dan Merklinger (’09) struck out 11 over six innings for Brevard County, but the Miracle scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead.

HELENA (Rookie: 15-16; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 18-2 at Ogden. The Raptors broke scored seven runs in the bottom of the third inning to take control of the game.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 17-9; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers beat the Mariners 11-6.
