Brewers System Report: Games of July 28, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 48-55; National League Central): The Brewers lost 10-2 to the Reds at Miller Park. Milwaukee had a 2-0 lead until the Reds scored five runs in the top of the sixth. Cincinnati added five more runs in the top of the eighth.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 56-48; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds lost 5-3 to Omaha. Joe Koshansky hit a homer, his 18th of the season, and drove in two runs for Nashville.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 50-52 overall; 17-15 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars beat Mississippi 6-0. Michael Bowman (’09) pitched six shutout innings and allowed two hits for his eighth win.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 47-54; 20-12 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees beat St. Lucie 5-1. Dan Merklinger (’09) pitched six shutout innings and struck out 13 for the win. Juan Sanchez (’09) went 5-for-5 with a homer for Brevard County.

HELENA (Rookie: 18-18; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers were off on Wednesday.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 21-10; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers beat the Royals 4-2.
