Ninth inning action from Simmons Field...Historic Simmons Field.

Top of the ninth:
Pete Venturini walked with two outs.  John Caianiello hit a pinch hit double to drive in Venturini with the tying run.

Bottom of the ninth:
Tim Senne walked to start the inning. Joey Aragon with a sacrifice bunt to move Senne to second.  Tom Thomas was walked intentionally. Howie Manzon's grounder to short was bobbled by Venturini.  Then, Venturini's throw to second wound up in right-center and Senne scored the winning run.

Troy Thomas would be the latest injury for the Foxes.  In the sixth inning, a ball hit high off the wall in right field and struck Thomas on the head.  The game story reports that Thomas was taken to the hospital to be examined for a concussion, but the tests were negative.

The Foxes are 60-36.  They are in first place in the Northern Division of the Midwest League. The Twins are in second place and 11.5 games behind the Foxes.
