Photi Anthony with a two-out RBI double in the seventh tied the game the first time.

Boog Powell with a two-out RBI double in the eighth tied the game the second time.

Then, Jack "The Magician" McGowan hit a game-ending grand slam. It was his first home run with the Foxes.

In game two, The Foxes scored seven runs in the second inning and Arne Thorsland pitched around seven hits and nine walks for a complete game victory.

The Foxes are 69-41 and this doubleheader sweep of the Soos gave the first place Foxes an 8-1/2 game lead over second place Sioux City in the Three-I League.

25 Years Ago Today:

The Appleton Foxes were off on Sunday, August 11, 1985.  They are 76-41 and lead the Northern Division of the Midwest League.
