Baseball History September 16

Complete entry at BaseballLibrary.com for 9/16 is HERE.

Lots of good entries to pick from -- including Paul Molitor (1996) and Dave Winfield (1993) both getting their 3,000th career hit and Tom Browing's perfect game (1988) -- but the highlighted one today is:

1975
Rennie Stennett ties Wilbert Robinson's ML record, set June 10, 1892, by going 7-for-7 in a 9-inning game. The Pirates 2B collects two hits each in the first and 5th innings, and scores five of his club's runs in a 22–0 massacre of the Cubs, a major-league record for the biggest score in a shut out game in the 20th century. John Candelaria pockets the easy win, while Rick Reuschel is the loser. His brother Paul Reuschel, along with Tom Dettore, Oscar Zamora, and Buddy Schultz also pitch for Chicago.

A 7-for-7 in a 9-inning game. Even against the 1975 Cubs that is impressive. I know that Rick Reuschel was an all-star and a pretty good pitcher until the late 80's. And he was sometimes used as a pinch hitter or pinch runner later in his career as a member of the San Francisco Giants.

But, if you had to pick one of the following players to win a head-to-head matchup based on just their pictures, who would it be?

A.)

B.)

C.)

I thought so.
