West Michigan 8, @Fort Wayne 3 -- Mike Hollimon with a pair of homers shows why he is the captain of the Caps and why he is "a man's man". Mike Baxter's lead off homer in the bottom of the first was about the only highlight for the Wizards against Burke Badenhop. The End is Near for the Wizards.
Lansing 4, @South Bend 3 -- The defending champs fall at home to the Lugnuts. Jason Armstrong's situational hitting was the key.
Kane County 2, @Quad Cities 0 -- Ben Jukich and Brad Kilby combine on a four-hit shutout of the SWING. An unearned run in the top of the third was enough offense for the Cougars.
@Beloit 2, Peoria 0 -- Yohan Pino didn't make a mistake in a complete game four-hit shutout for the Snappers. Chief starter Mitch Atkins made one mistake, a two-out, two-run home run by Eli Tintor.
