Seattle (MAJ: 67-73; 4th AL West): The Mariners beat Texas 7-2. Cha Seung Baek (WI '00) gave up four hits over seven shutout innings for his third win since being called up to Seattle this season. Joel Pineiro (WI '98) pitched the final two innings and got the save. Richie Sexson hit a grand slam, the 14th in his career and 5th of the season, in the eighth inning to put the game away.
