SEATTLE (MAJ: 44-69 4th American League West): The Mariners beat Minnesota 8-7. Minnesota took a 7-6 lead with four runs in the top of the eighth. Jose Lopez knocked in two runs in the bottom of the eighth for the winning runs. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) homered and drove in five more runs for Seattle.
TACOMA (AAA: 62-55, T-2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Albuquerque 5-3. Rob Johnson (’05) homered and drove in a pair of runs for Tacoma. Jon Nelson (’03) also drove in two runs in the eighth win in a row for the Rainiers.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 59-55, 18-26 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 9-4 at Montgomery. Brent Johnson (’05) and Jeffery Dominguez (’06) both homered for West Tennessee, but the Biscuits rallied from a 4-3 deficit with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 52-62, 20-24 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks won 6-4 at Lake Elsinore. High Desert broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the top of the ninth.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 19-29, 4th Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Vancouver 9-3. A five-run bottom of the eighth inning put the game away for Everett.
PULASKI (Rookie: 28-19, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 13-7 to Johnson City.
PEORIA (Rookie: 14-22, 5-3 T-3rd Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Tuesday.
