Game Story
Showing extreme patience against nit-picking left-hander Jamie Moyer and those who followed him to the mound for Philadelphia, the Brewers scratched and clawed their way to a 4-1 victory in Game 3 of the National League Division Series at Miller Park.

By staving off elimination, the Brewers forced Game 4 today (12:07 p.m.) at Miller Park. Right-hander Jeff Suppan will start for the home team, with righty Joe Blanton going for the Phillies.
Box score

Ex-Rattler Greg Dobbs ('02) had a pinch-hit single for the Phillies in the ninth.

Tenuous Timber Rattler tie-in: Joe Blanton pitched for the Kane County Cougars in 2003. He made one start against the Timber Rattlers that season. Blanton pitched seven scoreless innings, gave up five hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out seven for a no decision on June 14 at Elfstrom Stadium.

Kane County won that game 1-0 on the second-to-last day of the first half of the '03 season to tie the Rattlers for the Western Division title.
