Brewers System Report: Games of July 2, 2010


MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 36-44; National League Central): The Brewers lost 5-0 at St. Louis. Milwaukee’s offense had five hits in the game.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 44-37; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 4-3 to New Orleans. The Zephyrs scored a run in the top of the eighth to go up 3-2. Nashville came back to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth. But, New Orleans scored a run in the top of the ninth for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 38-43 overall; 5-6 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars beat Chattanooga 4-1. Chris Cody pitched eight innings, allowed four hits, and struck out eight for the win.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 31-47; 4-5 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 3-2 in 11 innings to Dunedin. The Jays scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game. Cody Scarpetta (’09) gave up one hit and struck out eight over five shutout innings.

HELENA (Rookie: 9-3; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers won 4-1 at Billings. Franklin Romero, Jr. (’10) went 3-for-3 with a pair of runs and a pair of RBI. Hiram Burgos (’10) allowed a run on a hit and struck out eight over seven innings.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 8-2; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers lost 8-4 to the Reds.
