AAUGH!
as in:
Everytime the Rattlers got close, South Bend added a run. Just like whenever Charlie Brown got close, Lucy would pull the football away.
The seven run bottom of the third inning was big -- obviously. There were six unearned runs. I talked to Casey Craig after the game and he said the home run by Orlando Mercado that put the cap on the inning for South Bend just made it over the wall. He was all set to catch the ball on the warning track, but the ball barely carried over the sixteen foot high wall, 336' from home plate for a homer and a 7-2 Silver Hawk lead.

Hello, Jason. Good to hear from you. I apologize for the lateness of this response.
Vega looks very good at times. I think that he has the best "stuff" on the team and he can be dominant.
Other times he really struggles. Like the other night against FOrt Wayne. He didn't get some calls. Messed around with some hitters, fell behind in counts, and wound up getting hit pretty hard.
I can say this about almost any guy with talent in the Midwest League, but only because it is true.
He needs to become more consistent and needs to learn how to pitch. The best stuff in the world is great. But, you have to know what to do with it.
