Seattle (MAJ: 9-15; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 5-2 at Baltimore. Gil Meche (WI '98) pitched five innings and gave up four runs (two earned) on eight hits to take the loss. Seattle managed just five hits in the loss.
Tacoma (AAA – 12-8; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Salt Lake 1-0. Shin-soo Choo (WI '02) drove in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the ninth inning. Kevin Appier, Emiliano Fruto (WI '02) and Sean Green combined to one-hit the Bees.
San Antonio (AA – 8-13; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio won their second straight game with a 3-2 win over Arkansas. Michael Garciaparra went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Jesus Guzman drove in the winning with a double in the bottom of the eighth. Bryan LaHair (WI '04) doubled and has reached base in all 21 games he has played this season.
Inland Empire (High-A – 12-9; T-2nd California League South Division): Visalia beat the 66ers 8-4. Matt Tuiasosopo had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI for Inland Empire. The Oaks used a six run top of the third inning. Justin Jordan (WI '05) gave up all six of those runs, but only one was earned.
