Mariner System Report (Games of (4/22)

Seattle (MAJ: 7-12; 4th AL West): The Mariners were shutout 2-0 by Detroit on just two hits. Nate Robertson allowed both hits and struck out four over seven innings.

Tacoma (AAA – 10-5; 1st PCL Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers rallied for six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase an 8-4 deficit and defeat Fresno 10-8. Adam Jones (WI ’04) homered and Hunter Brown (WI ’02) had three hits, scored twice, and knocked in one run.

San Antonio (AA – 5-10; 4th Texas League South Division): The losing streak is up to eight games after the Missions lost 7-2 at Midland. Michael Garciaparra (WI ’03) had a pair of hits and drove in one of the San Antonio runs.

Inland Empire (High-A – 9-6; T-1st California League South Division): The 66ers plated six runs in the first inning and beat Bakersfield 7-4. Luis Oliveros (WI, ’02) had three hits and two RBI to help with the offense. Julio Santiago (WI ’05) gave up an unearned run and struck out six over five innings for his second win of the season.
