Mariner System (For games of 4/19)

Seattle (MAJ: 7-9; 3rd AL West): The Mariners rallied from a 6-1 deficit to beat the Rangers 9-6. Seattle scored two in the eighth and five in the ninth for the win. Carl Everett hit a game-winning three run homer to cap the comeback. JJ Putz (WI ’00) pitched a scoreless top of the ninth and got the win.

Tacoma (AAA – 8-4; 1st PCL Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers shook off a blown save and defeated Sacramento 3-2. Bobby Livingston (WI ’03) pitched six innings and allowed one run on five hits with six strikeouts. But, Rich Dorman (WI ’03) gave up the tying run in the bottom of the eighth. Hunter Brown (WI ’02) drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning. Adam Jones homered again for the Rainiers, his fourth in three games.

San Antonio (AA – 5-8; 4th Texas League South Division): The Missions lost their sixth straight game, a 3-1 decision at Frisco. Cesar Jimenez (WI ’03) pitched 6-1/3 innings and struck out seven, but gave up two runs and took the loss. Oswaldo Navarro (WI ’05) drove in the lone run for San Antonio.

Inland Empire (High-A – 7-6; T-3rd California League South Division): The 66ers lost 2-1 at Stockton. Shawn Nottingham (WI ’05) went five innings and allowed two runs on seven hits to take the loss. Josh Womack (WI ’05) drove in the only run for Inland Empire.
