One other thing

Staff meeting in a few minutes and some other things to do before getting back to posting. So, there is only time for the M's Farm Report in the Seattle Times

Mike Wilson (WI '05) is featured today.

Wilson, 6 feet 1 and 238 pounds, was a high-school All-American in football and basketball in Tulsa, Okla. A linebacker, he signed a letter of intent to play football at Oklahoma after recording 150 tackles and 10 sacks as a senior.

The Mariners lured him away from football, but his professional baseball career got off to a slow start. The first couple of years he was hampered by hamstring injuries. A switch-hitter, he was also having trouble hitting left-handed.

After two years of being stuck at the bottom level in Peoria, the Mariners' Arizona League team, Wilson made a big change: He gave up
switch-hitting.

Rattler fans and the Mariners are glad that he did.
