Seattle (MAJ: 56-66; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 3-0 at Los Angeles. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez had two of the four Mariner hits. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in 1-1/3 scoreless innings in another relief appearance for Seattle. But, Seattle lost their ninth straight game and their eighteenth straight game to an opponent from the AL West.
Tacoma (AAA – 68-58; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Tucson 4-3. Rich Dorman (WI ’03) allowed one run on four hits with five strikeouts over seven innings for the win. Oswaldo Navarro (WI ’05) drove in a pair of runs for the Rainiers.
San Antonio (AA – 52-70; 25-29 second half 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 10-4 at Tulsa. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) hit his twentieth home run of the season for the Missions.
Inland Empire (High-A – 64-59, 25-28 second half; T-3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 7-1 at Rancho Cucamonga. Josh Womack drove in the only 66er run of the game with a second inning sacrifice fly.
Everett (Short Season-A – 27-31; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett lost 8-2 to Yakima. Bryan Sabatella (WI ’06) had two hits and drove in one of the two runs for the Sox.
AZL M’s (Rookie – 23-24; 9-10 5th Arizona League): The Mariners lost 8-4 to the Royals. Julian Henson (WI ’06) had a pair of RBI and Welington Dotel hit his seventh home run of the season for the M’s.
