Seattle (MAJ: 57-69; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 9-2 to the Yankees. Felix Hernandez (WI ’03) allowed seven runs over 3-2/3 innings for the loss. Joel Pineiro (WI ’98) pitched the 5-1/3 innings in relief.
Tacoma (AAA – 70-60; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma was rained out in Tucson last night...Again! They will play a doubleheader tonight.
San Antonio (AA – 56-71; 29-30 second half 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Midland 4-3. Yung Chi Chen (WI ’05) had a pair of RBI. Brian Schweiger (WI ’06) had two hits and drove in a run for the Missions and that was enough for starting pitcher Jorge Campillo.
Inland Empire (High-A – 67-61, 28-30 second half; 3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 9-5 at High Desert. Casey Craig (WI ’06) homered, but Aaron Jensen (WI ’05) allowed eight runs on eight hits with four walks and four strikeouts over 4-1/3 innings for the loss.
Everett (Short Season-A – 28-35; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett lost 3-1 at Salem-Keizer. Daniel Santin drove in a run for the Sox. Steve Uhlmansiek allowed two runs over 6-1/3 innings with seven strikeouts but got the loss.
AZL M’s (Rookie – 24-26; 10-12 6th Arizona League): The Mariners lost 3-2 to the Rangers. Jason Snyder (WI ’06) gave up two unearned runs on two hits over three innings in relief and got a no decision.
