Mariner System Report (Games of 6/26)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 28-50 4th American League West): The Mariners were off on Thursday.

TACOMA (AAA: 41-38, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Salt Lake 9-4. Wladimir Balentien (’04) homered and drove in three runs for Tacoma. Robert Rohrbaugh (’05) picked up the win.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 42-35, 3-5 T-4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 11-5 to Tennessee. The Smokies scored seven runs in the first two innings to get the early advantage.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 36-41, 4-3 second half T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 7-6 in ten innings at Rancho Cucamonga. Jamie McOwen (’07) had four hits and two RBI for High Desert. The Quakes scored three in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game and one in the tenth to win.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 4-6, T-2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 10-1 to Boise. The Hawks scored four times in the first inning for the lead and Everett had two hits in the game.

PULASKI (Rookie: 6-4, 2nd Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 8-3 at Kingsport. The Mets scored two runs in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie.

PEORIA (Rookie: 2-2, T-3rd Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Thursday.
