Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 21…since 2000
This was the final day of the 2000 Midwest League All-Star break.
The Rattlers won 5-0 at Clinton after a 2:39 rain delay. Yep, the game started at 9:39pm. It didn’t bother the Rattlers. Derrick Van Dusen, Erik Grunwald, John Butler, and Aaron Taylor combined on the six-hitter. Pedro Liriano and Blake Bone drove in a pair of runs a piece. Counting the end of the first half, this was the eighth straight win for the Wisconsin. Rattler record after this game: (1-0, 43-26)
The Rattlers lost 3-1 at Kane County. The Rattlers had a 1-0 lead after a run in the top of the fourth, but the Cougars scored twice in the fourth and one time in the fifth. Including the end of the first half, this was the sixth straight loss for the Wisconsin. Rattler record after this game: 0-2, 30-41
The Rattlers beat Burlington 7-1 at home. TJ Bohn and Rene Rivera both homered for Wisconsin. Tanner Watson tossed a complete game for the win. The only run he allowed was a two-out homer by Erik Dean in the top of the ninth. Rattler record after this game: (1-2, 39-30)
This was the first day of the 2004 Midwest League All-Star Break
The Rattlers had off on the day of the 2005 Midwest League All-Star Game.
This was the final day of the 2006 Midwest League All-Star Break
The Rattlers lost 7-6 to Quad Cities at home in the first game of the second half. Wisconsin scored five times in the fifth inning to take a 6-5 lead. But, Drew Fiorenza allowed two runs in the top of the sixth and took the loss. Rattler record after this game: 0-1, 22-47
A 2-2 record. At least the long rain delay in Clinton was worth it. This day is at least interesting.
