SEATTLE (MAJ: 26-49 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 8-3 at Atlanta. Mark Teixeira hit three homers against Seattle pitching. Jeff Clement (’05) hit a two run homer in the top of the ninth for the M’s.
TACOMA (AAA: 39-37, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Portland 1-0. Rich Dorman (’03) allowed three hits and struck out eight over 7-2/3 innings for the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 42-32, 3-3 T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-3 at Huntsville. Brent Johnson (’05) had four hits and Luis Valbuena (’06) had a pair of RBI, but the Stars got the win.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 36-40, 4-2 second half T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks were off on Sunday.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 3-3, T-2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Boise 2-1. Brett Lorin struck out 13 over six innings and allowed one run on three hits for the win.
PULASKI (Rookie: 4-2, 2nd Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 10-2 to Elizabethton in a game that was ended by rain after the top of the ninth. Fabian Williamson (’07) allowed seven runs (six earned) over 3-1/3 innings for the loss.
PEORIA (Rookie: 0-1, T-6th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 5-2 to the Padres.
