SEATTLE (MAJ: 26-47 4th American League West): The Mariners beat Atlanta 10-2. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) had three hits and drove in a run for Seattle as they banged out 15 hits in Jim Riggleman's first game as Mariner manager. Ryan Rowland-Smith (’03) pitched 1-1/3 scoreless innings in relief for the win.
TACOMA (AAA: 38-36, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won 14-7 at Tacoma. Michael Saunders (’06) drove in four runs for Tacoma. Robert Rohrbaugh (’05) allowed one run and struck out seven over seven innings for the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 42-30, 3-1 T-1st Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx won 8-7 in thirteen innings. West Tennessee scored a run in the top of the thirteenth and Brent Johnson (’05) came out of left field to pitch a scoreless bottom of the thirteenth for the save.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 35-40, 3-2 second half T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 13-3 to Stockton. This was the second straight loss for the Mavs.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 2-2, T-2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 8-3 at Spokane. Luis Nunez (’07) hit a solo homer for Everett.
PULASKI (Rookie: 3-1, T-1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 4-1 to Elizabethton. It was the first home opener for Pulaski since 2006.
PEORIA (Rookie: Arizona League): The AZL M’s season begins June 22 vs. the AZL Padres.
