Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 22…since 2000

2000: The Rattlers lost 5-4 at Beloit in the first game of the second half. Jose Mieses allowed one run on three hits over eight innings as Beloit built a 5-1 lead. Wisconsin scored three times in the bottom of the ninth, but they could get no closer. Rattler record after this game: (0-1, 38-31)

2001: The Rattlers won 2-1 at Clinton to go to 8-0 against the L-Kings during this season. Rett Johnson beat Luke Lockwood again. Johnson allowed one run on three hits with nine strikeouts over 8-1/3 innings he beat Lockwood in all three starts and allowed only one run in 24-1/3 innings against the L-Kings. Lockwood allowed one unearned run over seven innings and in his three starts against Johnson, he gave up six runs (two earned) over 20-1/3 innings but was 0-3.

In this game, The Rattlers scored one time in the top of the ninth to take a 2-0 lead. Clinton had a runner at second and one out when Chad Wiles relieved Johnson. Wiles gave up a pair of singles and threw a wild pitch to get his 14th save of the season. Including the end of the second half, this was Wisconsin’s ninth win in a row. 2002: The Rattlers lost 7-2 at Kane County. Nick Ungs and John Skinner outpitched Renee Cortez and Jeff Perez. Including the end of the first half, this was the seventh loss in a row for the Wisconsin. Rattler record after this game: 0-3, 30-42

2003: The Rattlers lost to Burlington 10-5 at home. BOBBY! Livingston allowed five runs on eleven hits over 5-1/3 innings for the loss. Burlington cracked a total of 19 hits in the game. Rattler record after this game: (1-3, 39-31)

2004: The Rattlers were off on the day of the 2004 All-Star Game.

2005: This was the final day of the 2005 Midwest League All-Star Break

2006: The Rattlers lost 7-3 at home to Kane County in the first game of the second half. Jose Escalona allowed six runs on four hits over three innings for the loss. Rattler record after this game: 0-1, 27-44

2007: The Rattlers lost 3-0 to Quad Cities at home. Eddie Degerman, Shaun Garceau, and Kenny Maiques combined on the five hit shutout. Plus, the Rattlers committed four errors. Rattler record after this game: 0-2, 22-48

A 1-5 record. Crummy. Just like the posting on this blog today.
