RH JUAN RAMIREZ: Signed as a non-drafted free agent out of Nicaragua by Seattle in July 2005.
DOWN IN VENEZUELA: Ramirez made his professional debut pitching for the Aguirre in the Venezuelan Summer League in 2006. He went 5-1 with a 1.66ERA in 14 games (13 starts)
ON TO EVERETT: Ramirez made 15 starts for Seattle’s Northwest League affiliate in 2007. He was 3-7 with a 4.30 ERA for the AquaSox.
STINGY: Ramirez allowed three or fewer earned runs in 12 of those fifteen starts.
LAST START: Ramirez allowed two runs on two hits over 2/3 of an inning against South Bend on July 17. It was his first start since July 2 and he was on a pitch count. Ramirez reached that pitch count in the first inning.
LAST APPEARANCE: Ramirez got the win in relief against the Beloit Snappers. The game was suspended on July 7 and Ramirez relieved with the game was resumed on July 27. He allowed one run on three hits with five strikeouts over 4-1/3 innings.
