Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of August 8, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 55-55; 3rd National League Central): The Brewers won 12-5 at Houston. Prince Fielder hit his home run number 27 and drove in three runs. Manny Parra got the win.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 61-54; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 6-5 in 11 innings at Colorado Springs. Nashville scored a run in the top of the eleventh, but Colorado Springs scored twice in the bottom of the eleventh for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 53-58 overall, 15-27 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 9-1 to Mississippi. The Braves broke open a 2-1 lead with seven runs in the top of the eighth inning.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 64-39 overall, 24-15 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 8-5 to Lakeland. Brevard County led 5-2, but the Flying Tigers scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning for the win.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 21-23; 1-4 second half; 4th Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost game one of their doubleheader at Billings 2-1. Helena led game two 1-0 in the top of the fourth inning when that game was suspended. The suspended game will be resumed on September 4.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 16-23; 4-7 second half; 5th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers lost 3-2 in ten innings to the Athletics.
