The Foxes scored three times in the top of the seventh inning to take a 5-3 lead. But, the Chiefs scored three in the bottom of the eighth inning for the winning margin.

Chuck Symeon allowed three runs on eight hits and four walks with six strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings pitched for a no decision.

Don Buford drove in the tying and winning runs with an infield single in the eighth against Dick Hunt.

The Foxes are 10-11 and in 5th place int he Three-I League. Sioux City and Cedar Rapids are tied for the lead league.

Tom Forrester hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Forrester was a first round pick (22nd overall) in the January draft in 1985.

Steve Oswald pitched eight scoreless innings, but got into trouble in the ninth inning as the Giants had runners on second and third with no outs. Dave White allowed an infield grounder to let one of the runs score. Then, the Foxes closer struck out the final two batters for the save.

Oswald is now 5-2. White's save was his sixth.

The Foxes are 26-14 on the season after this win.
